Josep brought the Zkout beta to my attention and I thought the service warranted a mention. Zkout is essentially a Twitter like website that lets you send out messages based on your location. Kind of reminds me of a Facebook status along with Twitter style messages.
From what I can tell Loopt and Where seem [...]

After mentioning myMiaMia I felt I had to mention ChaCha. ChaCha lets you simply SMS or call in a question and you will get an answer back from a human or what they call a guide. The service is free but sadly unlike myMiaMia you cannot use email so SMS or voice charges from your [...]

Nikolaus let me know that WeatherEye has been upgraded from version 1.0.17 to 1.0.21. The upgrade requires a reboot and does not seem to have any drastic changes. On the other hand I know a few readers were having issues with the application so maybe this will fix it.

Something along the lines of a Wordpress or other posting compatible client. This could also make for a [...]

Tom just let me know that myPoynt just got upgraded to version 0.9.4. I have been keeping a close eye on myPoynt because it is really starting to shape up as a must have FREE search app for your Berry. Tom is reporting that there are no real earthshaking new features in this version but [...]

Branded FreeRange based RSS readers seem to be quite popular recently. The Wall Street Journal just released one and now FierceWireless has announced their own. The reader looks good and is essentially a branded version of FreeRange from what I can tell with Fierce websites built in. You can add your own RSS feeds [...]

A friend of mine is a bit of a Twitter addict. He discovered a cool Java Twitter application that works with BlackBerrys and decided to share. The application is nice and small but is not totally customized for the BlackBerry so the menu and navigation are a bit clunky. On the other hand the application [...]
