BestBuy is usually not a company that impresses me but they just put out an amazing new service that aims to go to the head of the pack. They are opening the doors for mIQ on October 12th which will let BlackBerry users sync their contacts, text messages, calendar events, calls, photos, videos, and [...]

Vonage let me know that they just released a free BlackBerry app that lets you take advantage of their cheaper long distance rates. Personally I use Telna for long distance but Vonage is pretty solid. The calls are dialed directly from the phone but don’t go over VoiP so you are still charged local [...]

Josep let me know about two new apps from a new developer called KipCast Corp. They released a WorldNews application alongside a new app that shows events in New York City. Both apps look pretty cool but I doubt the World News app will replace Viigo for me.
The WorldNews app collects news from the [...]

When I read about this new free radio app I held off to see if AOL would add support for more devices or carriers. Turns out that the app will remain for the Bold only on AT&T and only works in the US. Talk about cutting down your target market!
I happen to [...]

Mr. Guedes let me know that Navita has updated their free translator app so that it now translates between 52 different languages. This is a machine translator but the app is pretty seamless not to mention being free! The interface is limited to English, Portuguese, and Spanish depending on the language set on your BlackBerry.

When AddOnis first told me they were out of beta I told them that their $15 price point was a bit to high for such a utility. Turns out that they listened and lowered their price to $9.95 on sale to $7.47 until Sep 30th. This little utility is everything from a call blocker [...]

I think one of the true signs of the App World and BlackBerry development community expanding is the growing list of apps that never would have found an audience before. The latest was brought to my attention by Paul who pointed out the dog whistle app. I am not saying that the app is [...]

The Facebook & MySpace apps has been updated overnight. The main new feature in this version 1.6.22 of Facebook is compatibility with the latest OS 5.0 leaks. I think that is the same with MySpace but I don’t use MySpace. That means you no longer have to compromise when you want to get your OS [...]
