I know some of you are using LaunchPads as your shortcut utility so I thought I would let you know about the last two updates. Phil sent me a link telling me that this latest update has improved a bit of the functionality to really round out the application. I also thought the rudimentary backup [...]

I just got an email from Josep about BlackBerryTracker going opensource. We mentioned BlackBerryTracker back in February. It is a great bare bones BlackBerry GPS tracking service. The best part is that the server and client software code is now available as an opensource download under the OpenLBS name. It is released under the Apache [...]

Keep in mind this is REALLY not supported by Google since they only support it for the 8110, 8120, & 8130. This is the new voice search version that was released as an experimental version by Google.
One of our readers, Hank, discovered that you can install it on a 8300 or 8800 series device just [...]

Review: BBSmart Alarms Pro
Rating: 9/10
Link: www.blackberrysmart.com
Cost: $15 @ BerryReview Store
This software was mentioned when it was released in May, but I thought that it definitely deserved a full blown review, seeing as it has earned a permanent spot on my 8830!
Alarms Pro is another piece of software that should have been part of [...]

One of the things that always pissed me off about Evite was that they were not mobile friendly. Their emails are cryptic with one line of text and a link that sends you back to their site. They also have no mobile version of the site. The only even remotely mobile friendly part of the [...]

You may have remembered a short while back we featured a great new theme from eVeek called ‘Football Zen’ - well since that theme went over so big, they decided to create and add two more sport themes to the collection. The Basketball Zen theme and the Soccer Zen theme. Sports fans will love these [...]

Once again this one is only for people interested in Hebrew biblical texts on their BlackBerry. I know we mentioned that this was coming before but Hebrew in Hand just released a beta program of their application that is now customized for the BlackBerry. Keep in mind this is still in beta but it does [...]

I don’t know why Google is hating on the 8300 & 8800 series but this is cool none the less. They just announced that they are now supporting voice search in their latest version of Google Maps for the 8110, 8120, & 8130. It uses the same technology as the free GOOG-411 service many people [...]
