Josep just found a new version of Google Maps that is available for BlackBerry devices. The new version can be downloaded either by going to Google’s mobile site or by using Google’s new Updater application that we mentioned before.
I have just installed it on my BlackBerry 8310 and here are my first impressions. This [...]

Josep just found a new Google Updater application that allows you to install all of the Google applications on your BlackBerry from one location. It seems that GPS applications are showing up all over the place recently. The latest releases from Trimble outdoors each serve a specific purpose and actually seem quite cool. When I read about this yesterday I was not sure if I should post about it but once I tried the applications I actually saw how [...]

Josep just tipped me off to a free new application for BlackBerry devices that allows you to upload pictures you have taken with your berry and geotag them with the application. You can also view other geotagged pictures near your location. So far it seems that this application is being used mostly in Spain but [...]

I just got a tip from BBworld about a new GPS application for BlackBerry devices called Nav4All. This new offering like Telenav and InfoSpace has talking directions but compared to other GPS applications there are way to many menu steps to get it to work. Not to mention it is one of those applications that [...]

To be honest GPS for Cellphones/Mobile devices is still a maturing market. They still are looking up to their larger dedicated siblings. Mark Collins, vice president of consumer data services for AT&T was quoted by Jon Fortt of Fortune saying that AT&T has rolled out some new unspecified network upgrades to launch location based services. [...]
