I was just told that the FindMe application we mentioned earlier this month is now out of beta. FindMe is another hit application from ElectricPocket, the creators of Flipside, and seems to have some serious promise. There are no feature changes that I can tell from the original beta.
Basically the application takes your location from [...]

Josep sent me a link to a post by James on Medicalnerds.com about how to setup offline maps on your BlackBerry. I had been looking into this a few months back with no success so I am glad somebody has finally figured it out. You will find that this is not just a simple install. [...]

One of our readers Paul spotted a new version of Google Maps on the Google mobile page. Once again there is no changelog for the latest version but I can confirm it does work. I recommend not updating if things are working for you with the older version.
So far reports have shown no significant changes [...]

The coolest part is that the application does not use GPS! It uses the cell tower triangulation [...]

Now you can automatically connect your GPSed account to Picasa and have your pictures automatically added to the place they were taken based on their timestamp. [...]

Josep just sent me a link to a new piece of free software for BlackBerry called PLT7. The idea of PLT7 is to keep track of when a BlackBerry enters or leaves a specified zone based on your specification. You select an area in Google Maps online and the software will automatically notify a cellphone [...]

I just got an email in my inbox from SHAPE. It seems like the beta GPSed application we told you about previously has added quite a few features. SHAPE Services, the creators of GPSed, seem to be serious about fleshing out this free client. The idea is that the application keeps a tracklog of where you [...]

MobiReport just let me know about their latest software release called Berry Locator. At first I was skeptical just like I am with most of these anti-theft software solutions but I actually found the program extremely useful. On top of that it is reasonably priced at $4.95.
The softwares use is actually quite simple. It installs [...]
