After reading this article on Mashable by Steven Hodson, I recognized a trend. It seems like every week there is a new buddy location finder or GPS location monitoring application for BlackBerry. Now we are even finding ways to include our location in a microblog such as Twitter. Is the next evolution to let people always know where [...]

While scouring the site of the pricy FindWhere service we mentioned earlier I ran across this free service. It essentially uses FindWhere’s backend to help you find your friends and share your location with them. It works with GPS enabled 8300 & 8800 devices.
I know its just another of many buddy finder applications for BlackBerry [...]

The Travel Channel has just released a free app that give you access to their Travel Channel show info on the go. The only problem I see is that when I usually travel my BlackBerry costs an arm and a leg for data. According to Simon this is built upon EarthComber’s application so it also [...]

This one packs in more features into their product but you pay $19.95/month for the pleasure of using it. I just met with them at the Pepcom convention yesterday in Manhattan and the product looks interesting. It seems to be available for AT&T and T-Mobile on the 8300 & 8800 devices with GPS. No plans [...]

Review: GetItBack
Rating: 10/10

I have been working with Dan over at Convenience Software on testing GetItBack (formerly Find)It. GetItBack is a BlackBerry location program that is relatively cheap and simple to use. I am always one for stating the obvious so here I go… this is just a “no brainer” for anybody with [...]

Merik just sent in this golf application that we had not mentioned before on BerryReview. I guess golf and BlackBerrys just vibe well. This latest commercial golf application acts like a rangefinder for your BlackBerry as long as it has built in GPS. (8110, 8310, 88xx) It probably wont work with Verizon blocking their GPS.
Its got some [...]

Josep just sent me to a link to a great article on MobileMarketer. It talks about a free BlackBerry application that combines social networking with your location. Personally I think I have to try it to understand what that means but here is my best shot.
Essentially it lets you rate your current location and share [...]

IntelliGolf has just added a $10 GPS addon option to their software. I know there are free golf tracking alternatives but IntelliGolf seems to be a full featured product. You can now use your GPS to view distances, track shots, and keep scores. I guess it is pretty much a rangefinder. It even syncs with your desktop [...]

Google keeps on changing these on us and even their old guide is a bit dated. I know that I use Google Maps often on my Berry so I thought I would share the keyboard shortcuts I knew.
High LevelI – Zoom inO – Zoom outA – Favorite locations
1 – Also zoom out2 – Map/Satellite view toggle3 – [...]
