GPSed is a great free application that we have mentioned quite a few times. They have updated their application over the weekend with a much needed facelift for the User Interface. The new UI looks much better and actually brings the app up a notch in my book.
Some other features in the new version are [...]

Review:ALK Copilot 7 GPS for BlackBerry
Rating: 3/10
Link: www.alk.com/blackberry
I tested Copilot Live 7 for Blackberry through its paces. The short result, it leaves lots to be desired and I have used many GPS software and reviewed them, from Igo 8 to Destinator 7, Garmin Mobile XT to Tom Tom.
For a Blackberry device, it is a [...]

Garmin is trying to trump TeleNav by offering a $99.99 GPS navigation plan for the life of your BlackBerry. This plan is not transferable to another BlackBerry device but is good for the life of your BlackBerry. It might just be better than paying a $10 a month subscription plan.
If you don’t have GPS on [...]

Skylab just let me know that they have a discount running on MobileTracker until May 23rd. You can now pickup MobileTracker for $14.99 instead of the regular $24 price tag. Its a pretty good deal considering the fact that MobileTracker is one of the leading GPS tracklog applications for BlackBerry. It supports the standard KML [...]

I know this is not a new service but I finally had a chance to try it out while out in California on vacation. (I don’t drive all that much since I live in Manhattan) I have to say it works damn well. A little GPS BlackBerry app installs on your Berry and will alert you when [...]

One of our readers, Nikolaus, just let me know that there is a new version of Google Maps for BlackBerry available. This is an upgrade from the previous 2.0.3 to 2.1.0. Once again no changelog is provided by Google and no mention in the discussion forums so cross your fingers…
You can pick it up by pointing [...]

They have just released an upgrade to their Beta application BBTrips that allows you to track your GPS location and then plot it on your computer using Google Earth. You can also have the application email you your log every hour [...]

Review: TellMe
Rating: 6.0/10
Cost: Free
Tellme who is a newly acquired subsidiary of Microsoft that provides a free information service. Getting information is fun and easy via voice commands or by calling 1-800-555-TELL toll-free. It’s a bit “gimmicky” or “gadgety”, but I have to say it is growing on me the more I [...]
