SameCell just let us know that they released an updated version to their new 2.0 that we just mentioned. Turns out that some users with OS 4.3 & 4.5 were having their BlackBerry freeze when they tried to add a friend.
SameCell got right on the problem and has released an updated version 2.05 to address [...]

…and still no on device maps. Seriously TeleNav if you don’t get with the program somebody else will…
I was just reading on TBGR about how TeleNav/AT&T Navigator now works in 20 different countries. (China, Caribbean, and others) I guess that explains the significant version bump that Oliver emailed in as a tip earlier this [...]

Frank just let me know about a review of Garmin for BlackBerry on PocketGPSWorld. This is the same Garmin $99 for the life of the device that we told you about previously.
If you were thinking about purchasing the Garmin GPS application for your BlackBerry I would highly recommend this review. Mike Barratt really dug [...]

SameCell started out as a simple location based social networking app and now is growing in features. The new version 2.0 brings quite a few new features upgrades to the plate that are sure to please:

The guys at BlackBerryInsight spotted a new 3D navigation software called Navi2Go by 3DVU. It almost looks like a GPS navigation program using Google Maps satellite view. The application looks pretty cool and has some pretty cool features though it is not encouraging when most of the screenshots have a hourglass on them:
Their major struggling [...]

I just got an email from Josep about BlackBerryTracker going opensource. We mentioned BlackBerryTracker back in February. It is a great bare bones BlackBerry GPS tracking service. The best part is that the server and client software code is now available as an opensource download under the OpenLBS name. It is released under the Apache [...]

Keep in mind this is REALLY not supported by Google since they only support it for the 8110, 8120, & 8130. This is the new voice search version that was released as an experimental version by Google.
One of our readers, Hank, discovered that you can install it on a 8300 or 8800 series device just [...]

I don’t know why Google is hating on the 8300 & 8800 series but this is cool none the less. They just announced that they are now supporting voice search in their latest version of Google Maps for the 8110, 8120, & 8130. It uses the same technology as the free GOOG-411 service many people [...]

BlipSocial is a bit hard to describe. Kevin @ CrackBerry did a decent job so I thought I would take a crack at it. Essentially it takes a few applications and adds your location awareness to the mix. It works with or without GPS but obviously it is better with. I have not tested it [...]
