We mentioned the ProxPro beta before when it was first announced. It essentially gives you proximity and traffic alerts free on your BlackBerry. Vizzion just let me know that their commercial BlackBerry application is out of beta. It essentially lets you watch screenshots of traffic cameras in North America, Ireland, New Zealand, and the UK. They have over 7,500 cameras in 150+ major cities. The application is not free but does have a reasonable $29/year or $5/month subscription.

Stefano just let me know that GPSed released a new version of their GPS tracklog application. They definitely seem to be on their last beta release of GPSed unless they have plans for version .9999.

I have been keeping an eye out on this promising Bluetooth GPS receiver for awhile now on shopblackberry.com. It is scheduled to finally be released this week on August 16th.

Brian just let me know that Google Maps for BlackBerry has been updated to version 2.2.3. Once again there is no changelog from Google so we will have to figure out what changed for ourselves. Hopefully this fixes the voice search feature on devices other than the Pearl.

TellMe was released a bit back as a free application by Microsoft. In the beginning they only supported GPS enabled BlackBerry devices. Nikilaus just let me know that TellMe sent him an email that it now supports the 8320 and other GPS less BlackBerrys.

Raffy just let me know that there is a new version of MyPoynt available which is version 0.9.1. They have not pushed it out for automatic update yet but you can get it from m.mypoynt.com

Raffy just let me know that Google Maps for BlackBerry version 2.2.2 is now available. I tried going to www.google.om/gmm to download but it did not find the latest version. So…
