After we posted our last Vlingo update we are still getting reports back from readers that Vlingo is not working. Turns out that the WiFi permissions issue exists even if you don’t have WiFi on your phone. One of our writers decided to email them about the issue and got the following response:
We have identified [...]

Matt sent in a tip that Google Calendar Sync that we mentioned before has been upgraded. The new version is .4.4 compared to the older .4.2 release.
No idea what is changed in the new update since Google does not believe in changelogs. (I consider not having changelogs evil!)
So if you are using Google Sync for [...]

Roboform For BlackBerry
Cost: Free
Link: http://www.roboform.com/blackberry.html
We have talked about the public beta for Roboform for BlackBerry back in June. It looks like things are progressing well.
First and foremost, the OTA download is now a proper jad file, instead of linking to the cod. There is also the cod/alx combo for desktop install. The download is around [...]

Kathy just let me know that RIM has released an update to their native Yahoo Messenger bringing it to version 2.1.33. This is similar to their Google Talk update last week.
Once again no changelogs so we have no idea what changed.
Let us know if you find anything new.
You can pick up the download from:

I just got an email from David that the owner of BlackBerryThemes.co.uk decided to make all of his premium themes for the 8300 & 8800 now free. While I feel bad if you purchased them already this is great for the rest of us. These are not the newest theme out there but they [...]

Now this looks like a cool application in the making. Stefano sent me a link to a thread on BBforums about a new application/service that turns RSS feeds into voice that you then stream to your BlackBerry. They seem to be just starting but this could be really interesting for listening to RSS feeds while [...]

I was reading a post on CrackBerry by Kevin which said that Vlingo has finally had a chance to fix the bugs in their application. All thanks to some dedicated fans in the BlackBerry community Vlingo fixed the bug where T-Mobile and Rogers customers could not use the service. I was worried since I was having the same [...]

When we posted about the 25 finance applications for BlackBerry Warren asked me if there are any free applications that manage your personal finances. Turns out that there is one called JabpLite.
Keep in mind that JabpLite is a generic Java application and as such will not be as BlackBerry optimized as Ascendo Money or SplashMoney. [...]

The closest description I can come up with for Pinger is a Voice SMS system. For some reason I think I have heard of Pinger before but I can’t remember where…
The Pinger service lets you send voice messages directly to someone instantly over your data connection. It is like email with voice which ironically you [...]

I know many of you were interested in the free MetrO application when we mentioned the first beta. So I was happy when Nathan told me about an updated beta version that MetrO just released. If you don’t know what MetrO is in a nutshell it allows you to get public transportation directions for over [...]
