Kevin, on CrackBerry, pointed out a new free innovative application from Electric Pocket called FindMe. The application reports your location to the Facebook application counterpart and lets you tag certain locations. For example you would tag “Work” at work and so on.
The coolest part is that the application does not use GPS! It uses the cell tower triangulation [...]

GPSed has finally added the feature that completes the circle of their offering. Until now you could use GPSed to keep track of where you went and your waylog. Now you can automatically connect your GPSed account to Picasa and have your pictures automatically added to the place they were taken based on their timestamp. [...]

Yes you are not seeing things. I said free without an invite. I don’t know how long this solution will last because GrandCentral is getting prepped for a full release soon. I just checked and the method does work without a hitch on three different machines.
The best part is that you don’t need some benevolent [...]

Some readers have been complaining that we have not been covering the BlackBerry Pearl theme front so I decided to showcase some Pearl only themes that I like. The most recent one I ran into was created by Constabl and released on Themes4BB.

It turns out that RIM has made two new applications available for BlackBerry users for free but they seem to be targeted towards their Canadian native market. This is interesting because traditionally our friends up north have [...]

Josep just sent me a link to a new piece of free software for BlackBerry called PLT7. The idea of PLT7 is to keep track of when a BlackBerry enters or leaves a specified zone based on your specification. You select an area in Google Maps online and the software will automatically notify a cellphone [...]

Not quite sure what this means to us end users but the BlackBerry beta of Version 6 is now out of beta. I noticed this a few days ago and was reminded when I read a post on BlackBerryForums about it. MobiPocket has decided to follow in RIM’s footsteps by not releasing a changelog beyond [...]

NancyDrew has struck again on Themes4BB with her latest theme release iScribble (iPhone Scribble). The theme is based on the iPhone icons but the background and headerbar will remind you of school. The theme is very “fresh” and is not just another iPhone replica/clone so I highly recommend downloading it. The icons are very cool [...]
