I read books on my BlackBerry all day so when I got an email from S4BB that they are beta testing BlackBerryBooks.com I got excited. It has over 25,000 public domain books for downloading and they are all compatible with the free Mobipocket eBook reader.

Astraware is just entering the BlackBerry application market so I will give them a bit of slack. Especially since they did give us a free fireworks application last week.

Another BlackBerry first. S4BB is selling the U.S. Army Survival Guide as a MobiPocket ebook for $29.99 in the Store.

I use MobiPocket every day to read books and magazines on my BlackBerry. Its great to always have a book in the bathroom too. The thing is that e-books get a bit expensive if you read as fast as I do so I found two great resources for free books.
