BlackBerry Bold 9790 OS 7.1.0.247 Found Online

The BlackBerry Bold 9790 has not been getting any OS 7.1 love so its nice to see it getting some attention. The N4BB team scored OS 7.1.0.247 for the Bold 9790. No word on what is in this version though it does seem to be the latest OS 7.1 version yet.

T-Mobile US Officially Rolling Out Bold 9900 OS 7.1.0.205

We saw a leak of OS 7.1.0.205 earlier which RIM has been pushing through carrier testing. I have been hearing conflicting opinions between OS 7.1.0.190 vs .205 about battery life but still its nice to see the GSM 9900 getting official OS love. Hopefully AT&T will jump on the bandwagon soon along with AT&T releases for the Torch lineup!

You can get the update by going to Options->Device->Software Updates to get the latest. My guess is it will also be available on T-Mobile’s download site shortly.

BlackBerry Bold 9790 Official OS 7.0.0.609 from Wind Mobile

With the recent leaks for the BlackBerry 7 devices, the BlackBerry Bold 9790 was notably left out. Well, it does seem like its still getting some love on the OS 7.0 by Wind Mobile which has pushed out an update for it. Even though its not 7.1, its still a new OS isn’t it?

The OS 7.1 leaks continue in full speed this week. The N4BB team scored OS 7.1.0.205 for the BlackBerry Bold 9900, BlackBerry Torch 9810, and BlackBerry Torch 9860. That has the original GSM BlackBerry 7 lineup covered. No word on what is new but definitely worth checking out!

Official OS 7.0.0.579 for the BlackBerry Porsche P’9981

The BlackBerry Porsche P’9981 smartphone is due this year, with its launch being in February. The team over @N4BB saw the OS for this premium device being posted by Brightpoint, one of RIM’s big distribution partner. Most of us probably wont have this phone with us, but, for those lucky to have it, here you go!

Also, the N4BB believes that this should be the OS that will be preloaded on the P’9981 handset when it ships.

Verizon BlackBerry Bold 9930 & Torch 9850 OS 7.1 Desktop Install Files Posted

Tom was kind enough to let me know that Verizon has finally put up OS 7.1.0.163 desktop install files for the BlackBerry Bold 9930 & Torch 9850 on their website. Many people already upgraded to this version via wireless update or other methods but there is a place for desktop install files. Wireless upgrades do not always work for everybody and users on a BES usually have to wait until the carrier releases the desktop install files before their company rolls it out to all users.

If you have been looking for them you can find both downloads on the Verizon BlackBerry download site. Tom sent in direct links to the Bold 9930 standard and multilanguage version but you will have to enter in your Verizon phone number to access the 9850 ones for now.

BlackBerry Curve 9360 OS 7.1.0.190 Found Online

While I am waiting for OS 7.1 to come to the BlackBerry Curve 9350 we thankfully now have it for its sibling. N4BB scored OS 7.1.0.190 for the BlackBerry Curve 9360 which brings it up to date with its top shelf BlackBerry 7 brethren. No word on how well this new build works but definitely worth checking out!

Verizon Pushing Out OS 7.1.0.163 for the BlackBerry Bold 9930 & Torch 9850

Verizon announced just yesterday that OS 7.1 was coming for the Bold 9930 and Torch 9850. Now Tom and John let us know that Verizon is pushing out the OS update v7.1.0.163 for both devices. The OS update is OTA wireless only for now but it should be up on Verizon’s download site within the next few days hopefully.

Let us know when it gets rolled out to you if you have Verizon!

BlackBerry Torch 9860 OS 7.1.0.190 Found Online!

First OS 7.1.0.190 landed for the Bold 9900 and then the Torch 9810 and now we have it rounded out with the Torch 9860. That is right you can now pick up a leaked beta of OS 7.1.0.190 for the BlackBerry Torch 9860 courtesy of N4BB. There is no word on what is new but the same .190 build seems to be getting solid results.

Official AT&T OS 7.0.0.583 for the BlackBerry Torch 9810

AT&T is notoriously late to the OS update game. I was happy to hear from one of our tipsters, Zooby, that AT&T has released OS 7.0.0.583 for their US exclusive Torch 9810. Most of us are actually waiting for OS 7.1 to officially release for these devices but until then this update hopefully helps. The previous AT&T update for the Bold 9900 greatly improved the battery life so hopefully this one does the same for the Torch 9810.

BlackBerry OS 7.1.0.74 for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 Found Online (Sort Of)

Well I want to say this is a leaked OS 7.1.0.74 but its a little more complicated to install then a regular OS leak. The team at OSBB scored OS 7.1.0.74 for the BlackBerry Torch 9810 which brings the Wi-Fi hotspot functionality many people were asking for. The unofficial installer they bundled it in requires you to install OS 7.0.0.540 for the registry keys before installing this OS. You should then be able to load it with the work that OSBB has put into the installer to strip out many Thailand specific files.

7.1.0.74 Leaks for the 9900, WiFi HotSpot enabled

Rrrebo over at CrackBerry just let me know that 7.1.0.74 for the 9900 has leaked and it has WiFi HotSpot support! This seems to be something long over due. Aside from that there is no other change log. Another weird thing, is that the last digits of the OS are not in a multiple of 3. I can not remember seeing an OS that ended in 2 digits for a long time.

Not long ago, our BlackBerry Bridge had an update and we have been anticipating this for sometime now, but we had an update for the OS2 beta. Now, RIM has released a new version for us!

The BlackBerry PlayBook OS v1.0.8.4985 contains the following fixes and updates:

Updated version of Adobe® Flash® Player version 11.1 and Adobe AIR® 3.1
Daylight savings time updates for time zones in the regions of Latin America, Australia and Central America
Updated Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi® software to help to improve connectivity
Fixed issues some users were experiencing with account payments in the BlackBerry App World™ storefront
Improved synching when restoring applications with BlackBerry Desktop Software
This update also includes a security update for Adobe Flash Player, as noted in Adobe Security Bulletin APSB-11-28, which addresses issues that can potentially affect any PC, tablet, or other device with an operating system that supports Adobe Flash.

RIM seems to have push OS 7.0.0.540 through certification at a few carriers. It is now available from multiple Vodafones around the world for both the BlackBerry Torch 9810 and BlackBerry Torch 9860. No word on what is new in this release but the same version on the Bold 9900 runs well.

First Official OS Released for BlackBerry Bold 9790 & Curve 9380 by Telkomsel

If you needed any more signs that the recently announced BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380 are launching soon then look no further. Carriers have started rolling out official OS releases for both devices on their download websites. Mauricio @BBRocks noticed that Telkomsel launched OS 7.0.0.482 for the BlackBerry Curve 9380. Bla1ze @CrackBerry noticed that Telkomsel has also released OS OS 7.0.0.496 for the BlackBerry Bold 9790.

Anybody want to guess when and where they will come out first?
