MapQuest has announced the Beta release of their BlackBerry application. MapQuest 4 Mobile Beta is available for Sprint on the BlackBerry 8830 and AT&T on the BlackBerry 8800, 8820, and 8310. However, I was able to download and install this application using my Verizon 8830, the only things that did not work properly are the [...]

In an interesting twist RIM has partnered with Slacker to bring their radio service to your BlackBerry. The best part is that this will be free compared with the expensive XM radio client. There is no release time frame set in the release but hopefully this is coming soon. My favorite part of this [...]

Ashley let us know about Mix-Drinks.mobi yesterday and I finally had a chance to check it out. The site simply offers you quite a few ideas for mixed drinks. The site is not that complex but it does have categories for the drinks so you can select the type of drink you are aiming [...]

Research In Motion announced today that they will indeed partner with Microsoft to provide an integrated Live Search feature with the BlackBerry Browser and BlackBerry Maps. This comes after an announcement earlier this year that promised integration of Windows Live features on BlackBerry devices.

When I first read this press release I was hoping that they were announcing that you could now play TiVo shows on your Berry. No such luck. Theme designer, Brian, recently informed us of a hot new commercial theme he created. The overall design is the same, but is available in 3 different color schemes; Green with Envy, Purple Mystique and Shades of Grey. It’s a sharp looking theme and personally, I can’t decide which color I like best…’cause they’re all pretty [...]

Note: This update was just released yesterday bringing version 1.1.014797 to 1.1.0.15.
Vlingo just sent me an email that they have officially released Vlingo 1.1 which fixes many of the issues users were experiencing. This is an official release of the Beta we told you about previously. Just as a reminder Vlingo is a free voice [...]

We usually gloss over RIM announcing their financial’s but personally I think this is the reason they announced two new devices at CTIA (8220 & 8350i). RIM wants to perform a 1-2 punch with the Bold release (internationally) and then the 8220 announcement in one quarter. They could really have the analysts begging for more [...]

BlackBerry Thunder was caught on video. Bla1ze just let me know that Kevin @ CrackBerry spotted the video on YouTube. So far the device looks nice but I am still a Bold man. I am still trying to understand the idea behind a touchscreen that is also a button that also vibrates when you push [...]
