Homescreen shortcut for BlackBerry
Users of DropBox get a bit more BlackBerry support. DropBox is a free or paid online storage and backup service similar to others you may have heard of such as Mozy. From your desktop they offer Web support and a great PC/MAC/Linux app to [...]

The USPS used to be one of the slowest moving bureaucracies in the United States but this is a sign of the times. Bla1ze over @Crackberry spotted the USPS’s new mobile website that actually looks quite useful. I still have horrible memories of tracking packages on their desktop website from my BlackBerry browser so [...]

Walmart.ca in Canada has just released a new mobile website beta that looks quite good. It does not come anywhere close to the Amazon BlackBerry app but its leaps and bounds better than the mobile Amazon or Newegg site. I don’t shop Wal-Mart that often but I can see our friends north of the [...]

Luis wrote a great article about Raketu earlier, which in the spirit of the web made me want to share info about superior alternative provider of cheap international calling. I tried Raketu several months ago, and didn’t find the billing accuracy nor call quality up to par. My wife calls her family in Brazil often, [...]

I have no idea when this actually went live but Urkrish let me know that the SyFy Cable TV Network, formerly called the Sci-Fi Channel, now has its own mobile site. They also have a homescreen launcher if that is your thing.
The mobile site gives you access to:
TV Show schedules & details
Cast & character [...]

I have been reading The Globe and Mail quite often recently since they have great coverage on RIM due to both being based in Canada. I just happened to be checking out their website from my BlackBerry and stumbled across their mobile website.
It looks like their mobile website was launched WAY back in 2008 [...]

A friend of mine pointed out this new site to me called Whyzz. It essentially provides you with answers and advice about how to deal with the hard questions kids ask.
My ultimate tongue twister is “Where do babies come from?” Turns out that Whyzz has a great answer along with some solid advice [...]

While I don’t think that Wikipedia articles looked so bad before on my BlackBerry I was interested when I read this little tidbit. Wikipedia has officially launched the mobile version of their site. It looks like the mobile version was available for awhile now but now it is blessed as “Official.”
I just like how [...]

RIM is really vague about what the U2 connection will be for the Tour but they have put up a new 60 second advertisement along with the teaser we told you about before. You can find it at www.blackberry.com/u2.
The beautiful part is that it looks like RIM is learning. That same link is [...]

LiveOnTheGo looks like it is a growing online takeout website. I am not sure how they compare to the huge SeamlessWeb which already has a mobile site but they do have a nice collection of restaurants they work with.
LiveOnTheGo claims to have more than 1,000 restaurant partners in 33 states — with more restaurants [...]

I think it was awhile back when Verizon started having Microsoft Live search on the BlackBerry default homepage. Now Shmully let me know that they have changed it to Microsoft Bing search which makes sense.
I just find it interesting that RIM has decided to put Google, Live, Wikipedia, and Dictionary.com in the latest GoTo… [...]

Luis let me know that the Financial Times has updated their mobile offerings with a redesigned mobile website and a new app available to premium subscribers. I personally do not see the point of the premium app since it looks like most of the content is on the free mobile site.
The mobile site at [...]

DavidB reminded me that back in November of last year I wished that Newegg would mobilize their website. It turns out that since then Newegg has actually released a mobile version of their website at m.newegg.com. This is awesome for me since I can now compare prices on Amazon and Newegg before I pick [...]

I am really liking this trend of large airlines and hotel chains mobilizing their websites. It used to be that you were out of luck if you wanted to check your reservation from your BlackBerry without calling. Usablenet just let me know that they have mobilized the Hyatt Hotels & Resorts website with these [...]

I have been drooling recently with Cablevisions recently announced DOCSIS 3.0 101mbps/15mbps Optimum Online Ultra cable internet package. They are rolling out this new package in New York suburbs where they serve for $99. I still can’t believe I am paying Time Warner $44.95/month for 6mbps.
Cablevision let me know that they have gone a [...]

Zoho is kind of like Google Docs with a few additions. They have quite a few applications that lets you write and edit documents online along with accessing your Zoho Mail and Calendar. So far it looks like they have only enabled read access from their mobile website kind of like Google Docs did [...]

We have mentioned Keytoss quite a few times on BerryReview as a great customizable mobile homepage for your BlackBerry. They just let me know that they have released an update that integrates their service with Hotels.com. The new service lets mobile users search for hotels and make reservations online at over 85,000 hotels worldwide. [...]

SeamlessWeb has really taken the US and UK by storm over the past few years. I can’t say for sure how prevalent it is outside of New York but I know people who use it here every day. Many companies have it tied directly into their employees expense accounts so they don’t need to [...]

I don’t know if this happened recently or if it’s old news, but if this isn’t "HOT!!!" material for BerryReview, then I don’t know what is: Victoria’s Secret has a mobile site.
What that means to you will depend a lot on a number of factors:
- Are you male or female? [...]

Zillow is a pretty popular real estate search site and they just launched a mobile version of their site. It gives you access to public records and assessments for properties. It gives you information like square footage, rooms, and an estimated value. It will also show homes currently listed for sale and the asking [...]
