The last time I mentioned an OS release here, you gave me flack because it was an official release and it wasn’t “new enough”. Heck, then take this: a very new and very unofficial release of OS version 4.6.1.144 for the Curve 8900. The novelty has just been announced at the CrackBerry forums and can [...]

T-Mobile announced yesterday that they now have 32.8 million customers as of the end of the fourth quarter and have added 621,000 new accounts during that same quarter. That does not stack up well when compared to the 2.1+ million accounts AT&T added that quarter and the 1.2 Verizon added.
I guess that means that the [...]

Super sleuth Michael York spotted a AT&T 8900 Curve at the BlackBerry booth during CES. It looks like AT&T might be getting the 8900 after T-Mobile even though it does not have 3G. I guess they realized that the 8300 series did them very well and this is just an evolution of that fact. [...]

Mauricio let me know that the Carphone Warehouse has started selling the 8900 on O2 and Orange. This has been quite a slow launch for the 8900 so I thought it was worth mentioning. They are offering it free with an 18 month contract. I doubt it will be that cheap once it comes [...]
