secretagent 7545 just followed up on their 9000 link with one for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 OS 5.0.0.348. Not sure what is new in this version but from what I can tell it is the latest.

Case-Mate Fuel Case for Curve 8900 Now Available – Tour Coming Soon!

The Case-Mate Fuel case for my Bold 9000 was the coolest holster I have ever used. It is the ultimate power users tool since it charged your BlackBerry while it was in the holster effectively doubling your Battery life. It was awesome looking at your BlackBerry after a full day of usage and seeing the batter is still completely full!

Terry let me know that Case-Mate is now selling the Fuel case for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and will soon be carrying it for the BlackBerry Tour 9630. The main downside of the 8900 and Tour versions is that they have the BlackBerry screen facing out instead of in like the original Fuel cases. This is because RIM only put the charging contacts on the back.

Hopefully Case-Mate is working on a variant for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 since I am really missing the double battery life…

New Shelved Theme from Ninja Themes

While I wasn’t technically a beta tester on Ninja’s latest theme design ‘Shelved’, I was able to get a preview of it prior to its release. Now, I’m not generally a fan of these ‘shelf’ type themes but I have to admit that if I was gonna go for one, this would be it. On the left side you have 3 shelves totaling 9 user customizable icons and on the right bottom side, you have an extra icon slot which per Ninja’s usual style is perfect for your weather application (note: weather app not included with theme). The time is displayed nicely in the banner and works well with the overall look of the theme. Shelved is wallpaper friendly, meaning you can change the wallpapers for the home & locked screens. I always find this to be a plus with any theme I use. This is a non-nonsense, highly functional theme for those who like a good amount of icons available on the home page. The best news of all is like all of Ninja’s themes, Shelved is very reasonably priced at only $1.99. It’s available for the 8900, 9000 & 9630 and works like a charm. Vodafone Update – Free Twitter & Facebook Client – Bold & 8900 Curve Only

Luis let me know about Vodafone Update which is a slick Twitter and Facebook client for the BlackBerry Bold 9000 & BlackBerry Curve 8900. The app kind of reminds me of SocialScope and looks quite good. It will not replace the BlackBerry Facebook client but the Twitter functionality is pretty cool. I guess it is intended for Vodafone users only but it works on my AT&T Bold…

Premium Downtown Theme from Artistic-Me

Brandy, the creative force behind Artistic-Me Theme Designs has just released a new theme called, Downtown. Using artsy style cityscape graphics and a neat assortment of icons, Downtown is a pretty cool looking theme. I cannot comment on how the theme works as I didn’t get a review version to test, so you’ll have to take a chance when purchasing this baby. However, as I have said before… Brandy’s themes are usually top notch in design and function. I do say that $6.99 for any theme right now is a little steep, but it is what it is. Downtown can be purchased at Artistic-Me. Available for the 8900, Bold & Tour devices.

Free Revo Chic Theme for the 8900, 9000 & 9630

PooterMobile over at PimpMyBerry has a nice little shop set up with all of his free BlackBerry theme designs. One of his pride and joy themes, as he claims, is for us gals who want to sport a little flowery style. Enter Revo Chic.

Featuring a soft green and pink pastel flowery image with pink icons and interesting accents, there seems to be more to this theme than meets the eye. Some details are below, and more information can be found as well as the OTA download at PimpMyBerry. Best yet, Revo Chic is completely FREE which IMO, that’s always a good thing. Features include:

New sleek icons!
Pretty much all icons have been modified!
Two hidden “cells” containing 4 customizable icons each for a total of 8 icons on homescreen

New Perception Mini Theme for the 8900, 9000 & 9600

Larry over at Ahead of the Curve Designs just let me know about one of his recent theme designs called Perception Mini. Using 11 miniature Mac OS icons and a full screen of a soft, tranquil forest setting, Perception is all about cleanliness and ease of use. I played with the Bold version and the one gripe I have is that I don’t like large icons (as is the case on the App page of this theme) but that’s just a personal opinion. Other than that, I thought this theme worked very smoothly and efficiently. Perception Mini sells regularly for $6.99 (high for these times) but is on sale now for $5.99 at the Themes4BB store. Which btw, has been selling a lot of interesting themes lately. worth a checking out when you have a chance.

Hot! Linear Kaleidoscope Theme from Ninja Themes – Only .99 cents!

You may remember a short while back I mentioned Ninja’s Awesome Linear Theme , which was a huge hit and got so many requests to be made in different colors. Obliging the masses, Ninja created the popular theme in another 6 gorgeously vibrant hues and named the series Kaleidoscope. In addition to the Purple, there is now Gold, Green, Red, Grey, Blue and yes…Magenta/Pink.

As someone who was one of the beta testers of the original Linear theme I can attest to the fact that it is one of the nicest themes I have ever used. Graphics are brilliant, icons are clear and easy to recognize and the whole theme works incredibly well. There’s also a weather app icon slot (Note: Weather app is not included with theme).

As a final note, Linear Kaleidoscope sells for a very reasonably priced $1.99 but until Halloween you can get this baby for just .99 cents! Premium Endearing Theme for the Tour, Bold & Curve 8900

In searching through the Berryreview Store, I happened across this whimsical like girly theme called Endearing. Designed by ‘Kandy’, Endearing features soft, baby blue backgrounds and ‘cutesie’ colorful icons. Some of those icons seemed to be a little rough around the edges but the theme itself is adorable in design. There are two versions of this theme; Today and Zen. I tested the Bold version and it worked very nicely for me but if you’re someone who likes to know immediately what each icon stands for just by looking, take heart, cause it can be a bit confusing with this theme. However, I’m sure in time you can get the swing of it. Endearing costs $5.99 and is available in the Berryreview Store.

Premium TriColor Theme for the 8900, Bold & Tour

I had the chance to play around with Sferical Design’s latest themes called TriColor. It’s an interesting design, with a funky night city background and 2 hidden home page docks (side and bottom). There’s also more icons at the header on top as well as a slot for your weather app (note; weather app not included). For my own taste, I prefer smaller icons, but the theme overall looks great and worked very well. TriColor costs $5.99, which is an average price for themes these days since so many theme developers are charging less and/or offering special deals. However, it’s an all around classic theme for your BlackBerry device. TriColor is available for the 8900, 9000 & Tour (OS 4.6 & higher) in our Berryreview Store.

Premium OSX Mini Theme from Ahead of The Curve Designs

Ok, Ok…so we certainly have lots of Mac OSX themes floating around these days but I haven’t seen a ton of ‘mini’ styles. Larry from Ahead of the Curve Designs answered to the call however, with his latest theme release called, OSX Mini. Available for the 8900, Tour and the Bold OSX Mini is a theme with a few bells and whistles. The banner above probably doesn’t show it all but this video might. I tested the Bold version and the theme worked nice overall. I’m personally not crazy about large icons (in the app screen) but I know many people are. Hence, this may be the perfect theme for you. Quality graphics and a nice, clean look OSX Mini sells for $6.99 regularly but is on sale for $5.99 until the end of the month at Themes4BB.

Free Rock Band Theme for the BlackBerry Bold

Now, he knows I’m not much of a gamer but since many of you are, and since he’s real proud of this design…he asked that I give it a mention. Hence, here ya go.

Using basic icons set over vibrant gaphics, Rock Band ha some interesting battery/signal meters on the home page. More information, as well as the free OTA download (for both 9000 & 8900) can be found at this link.

Premium GrassBB Hidden Theme or the 8900, 9000 & 9630

BTDesign emailed me over one of their recent themes called GrassBB. It’s a Hidden Today Theme that is all dewy grass and soft blue skies. I haven’t tested this theme out myself yet but as you can see, the battery/signal meters as well as the time and date are all neatly set up at the top and left hand corners. To the top right, looks like you have a nice spot for your weather app and I know how many of you like that. All in all it looks like a nice theme. Priced at $4.99 until September 30th, GrassBB theme supports the 8900, 9000 (OS 4.6 +) & 9630 (OS 4.7 +) and can be purchased in our Berryreview Store.

Brandy from Artistic-Me, sent in her latest theme series called, LineUp. Available for the 8900, 9000 & 9630, LineUp comes in 2 different styles; Bottom Zen & Plus. I did not get a version of this theme to test, so I can’t give a specific review but as a rule, Brandy’s themes run very well and look really great. I do believe that $6.99 for any theme is a bit steep IMO, but if a theme runs perfectly and looks fantastic at the same time…I make exceptions. More information can be found at Artistic-Me.Com.

Hot New ‘Linear’ theme from Ninja Themes – on sale for $1.00!

Guys and gals, I gotta tell ya. I’ve been testing this theme out for a while now on my Bold (along with other beta testers) and Linear is, by far, one of the smoothest running and gorgeous looking themes I have ever used. Designed by the Ninja himself (Ninja Themes), Linear is available for the 8900, 9000 & 9630 and sports my favorite color, Purple. However, it’s a deep purple so it’s a universal theme that works for everyone. Also, it’s wallpaper friendly…an added plus.

A convenient customizable top right corner icon (great for your weather app – which is not included btw), 6 customizable Storm like icons and a neat today screen, Linear is about as close to perfection in a theme as you can get. Everything works just as it should. Sharp graphics and smart style, this is a theme that could easily go for a higher price. The good news is that, it only costs $1.99. But it get’s better because until September 22nd, you can get Linear for just a buck. If that ain’t a no-brainer…well…I don’t know what is.

Premium Onyx Fusion Theme from Ahead of the Curve Designs

Premium ‘Digital’ theme from Hedone Design!

Hedone Design is back with their latest theme release called Digital. A mixture of colorful, swirly images and sleek bottom icons, Digital costs $6.99 and is available for a variety of BlackBerry devices. I am playing with the Bold version as I write this and this theme offers all the charm and swiftness that Hedone Design’s themes are most known for.

I love the bright visuals and the hidden bottom dock as well as the simplicity of the battery/signal meters and the way that everything is centered nicely at the top of the home screen.

IMO, the whole theme screams artistic style and professional execution.

But it doesn’t end there…as an added feature, there’s an expansion pack of additonal, alternative wallpapers that come in that gorgeous abstract image in a variety of other colors.

Premium Windows Mobile 7 Theme from MBCustomz

Though he took a little break from theme designing, Greg over at MBCustomz seems to be back in full swing with his latest release Windows Mobile 7. A mixture of rich blue graphics and colorful icons, Windows Mobile’s home screen has a hidden dock (amount of icons varies between device) and an all around fresh feel. The bold version I tested ran like a pro…the only thing I noticed is that the message alerts on my BlackBerry Messenger icon were getting a little cut off but other than that, everything worked great. Analog Theme from Elecite for the 8900, 9000 & 9500

Elecite’s latest theme design, called Analog, is a mixture of sharp black backgrounds and shimmery chrome accents. According to Peter, they put a lot of effort into the battery and signal meters as well as a 45 degree sliding dock with 8 customizable icons. I have not had a chance to test this theme yet but personally, it’s a bit busy for my tastes…and maybe a touch more masculine too. However, that said it does not go without its charm. Premium osX Pro Edition Theme for the 8900 & 9000

This Mac OS based theme by Ely at EThemes is not new but since I recently reviewed one of his other themes, I thought I’d give this one a try too. This is an all around basic theme that works so good, I am still using it after more than a few days (which says a lot). Simple, clean and smooth running. With all of it’s crisp style and neat features, osX Pro could easily merit being a higher priced theme…yet it is very humbly priced at $2.99. AND according to Ely himself, by the time this review goes up – it will be on sale for only one week for just 99 cents! A definite bargain in my book.

In his latest he compares the form factors of the BlackBerry 8520 vs 8900 vs 9000 vs 9530 vs 9630 vs 8330. Its a pretty good overview if you just want to see how the devices have evolved over the years especially since you cannot walk into one store and compare them all side by side. Its also cool to see how the Curve go from the 8330 to 8900 to 8520…

New Opus Theme from Elecite

I got an email last night from Peter about Elecite’s latest theme release Opus. In actuality I was a little surprised as this look tends to differ from the stuff Elecite usually puts out. A rich, dark tapestry like background with an almost dual screen type concept…definitely an eye-catcher. I myself tend to like less icons on the home screen and themes that are more simple in design, however I did test the Bold version and my tastes aside…the theme works well. It’s a pretty good size file to download but once it was activated, it ran really smooth for me.

Opus is available for a variety of devices and take note that the theme will differ between them…so check all the info to make sure you’re getting the theme you expect. According to Peter, [Opus] definitely has its own uniqueness. You get multiple sets of customizable icons by tapping on one of the 2-3 dots on the bottom portion, for the latest BlackBerry models and 1 for the older 8300/8800. It sort of works like the dual-screen animation but faster and smoother. All icons are customizable but the top 5…those cannot be changed. Opus is available for the BlackBerry Storm, Bold, 8900, 8300 and 8800 models. **This theme and like any other Elecite theme, will not work on OS version .151 or the new Tour until we perform the necessary updates.

On a final note, Peter told me that they are offering a 30% off coupon to the first 200 buyers who enter the code ‘opus’ at checkout (Opus costs $6.99).
