I will not admit that I have a problem. I like my BlackBerry and thats that. Whenever I read articles like this one on Forbes.com I always wonder why the millions of iPod & Mac users don’t get labeled as addicts. They always seem to get the much nicer label of enthusiasts.
So I decided to [...]

Since RIM announced their amazing results this quarter I have been hearing so many different stories as to why. These stories range from the logical to the downright fanciful. One news source even blamed it on a chronic BlackBerry addiction sweeping the nation.
My two favorites are the iPhone theory and the carrier theory.
The iPhone [...]

I was just reading a post on the official Google Mobile blog about Androids first 5 months of existence. Some of these things are stuff RIM should have been doing ages ago. Also note by the way the fact that RIM does not even have an official blog beyond press releases that come days after [...]

My 14 year old daughter’s iPhone had to go in for repair (and a software upgrade) today. For a replacement, I lent her one of my old BlackBerries.(8300 Curve). She greeted me when I got home from work today with, “I LOVE BlackBerries”. I was lost for words. I thought the iPhone would win out [...]

I was just reading an article on Edugree.com titled “Top 5 Worst Companies To Work For.” While I know a few companies that would make it on a list of top 30. Toni Bowers of TechRepublic seems to think the same way.

Best Buy
McDonald’s
Verizon

Do you remember the first ringtones available? Well many of them are courtesy of Ludwig van Beethoven who passed away this time of the year in 1827. I just thought I would take a moment and thank him for his unknowing contribution.
If he only knew the popularity that Fuer Elise saw. You would think he [...]

A post by Robert Hamilton on the Google Mobile blog brought an old issue to mind. Robert describes how lowered latency brought people to use Google Mobile search more often.
First of all I have to describe what Latency is for most people. Latency is the time it takes between your device making a request and [...]

I know it’s probably a bit early for most of you but the Easter holiday has just about started here. Whether you use the break to celebrate a religious belief, enjoy the time off with your family or (like me) work through to catch up with that huge back log of jobs piling up on your desk.
However you spend it, We at BerryReview would like to wish all of our readers a very Happy Easter.
(Ps. Feel free to cut and paste the picture above and email it to all your friends :) )

This might just be coming from my ignorance regarding the capabilities (& limitations) of the BlackBerry API but I have to ask. Why are there no applications to allow you to take a screenshot from your BlackBerry? I know this is possible with BBscreenshooter (and one other application I cant think of right now) but that requires the use [...]

Over the past few days two writers I admire passed away.
The first was Russell Shaw who started in the BlackBerry space writing for BBhub.com and then went on to running “The BlackBerry Beat” blog on ZDnet. His contributions and coverage will be sorely missed.
The second is a name that is a bit less known [...]
