Josep just let me know about this company PostPath that I had not heard about before. It turns out that PostPath is attempting to replace Microsoft Exchange with their low cost Linux Mail server. I was really shocked by the claimed feature set but I will reserve judgment until I see it in action. Supposedly the server [...]

RIM should call their ‘Poll of the Week’,’Poll of the Month’. They only seem to change the question as often as I change my underpants…and that’s not very often… J
This weeks/months question,’ What do you find more influential in your decision to purchase a BlackBerry?’
The two answers you have to choose from…
Hardware features
Services capability
That’s It??? [...]

First RIM removed HTML email from BES 4.1.5. Then In March RIM pushed off the release until the 15th of April. On the 14th they pushed it off again until the 17th of April. Guess what its the 17th of April and still no BES 4.1.5.
We still get to stare at the cute little promotion logo [...]

UPDATED: Redid the images to not have anything grayed out
To follow up on the screenshots we posted of BES 4.1.5 I wanted to show some of the new features. Some of these new features require a combination of OS 4.5 and BES 4.1.5. The main ones you will notice in the screenshots below [...]

Greg just scored some pictures of BES 4.1.5 in action from an undisclosed saint source . Not much to see but some eye candy for BES administrators. I am no guru so I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Click on the pictures to expand them. I will follow this up with a [...]

The long awaited BES 4.1.5 has been stripped of HTML emails and has been delayed once again. What a surprise. After the last delay I am surprised it is still coming out before WES. One of our readers, Snips, pointed out that the new release date shown on RIM’s website shows April 15th as the revised release [...]

Seth Weintraub of ComputerWorld has kindly collected all of the challenges Apple & Jobs pointed to during the iPhone SDK launch. I thought it was a great read but it really just pointed out the issues with the iPhone challenge.
First of all claiming that ActiveSync is a more secure method than Triple DES is just inane. [...]

I just got a tip from one of our readers who, wishes to remain nameless, that the new Service Pack we have been mentioning is now available for BlackBerry Alliance Partners. This is a good sign since the official May 11th release date (shown below) seems to be on track.
The reader also mentioned that he has tried following the instructions Jibi mentioned on BoyGenius [...]

The thing that shocked me about the latest press release from Zenprise was not the product features. The crazy part is that they have cataloged over 6,000 things that can possibly go wrong with your BlackBerry! Seriously that has to be a ridiculously long list. I started counting the ones I know to myself and [...]
