Well, maybe not exactly multi-touch really. So sue me.
But I would certainly be all thumbs to use one of the next BlackBerry phones on RIM’s product line if The Cool Guy Report’s report is accurate. After so many Berry aficionados clamoring for a BlackBerry with both QWERTY keyboard and touch screen, maybe RIM [...]

Secret agents 16-C4, Grand Master Berry and Double D Tox C have all been very active lately and kind enough to let us know that there is a new release of the BlackBerry OS for the Curve 8900 (a.k.a. Javelin): version 4.6.1.239. We have two links this time, it seems one of them is not [...]

I just found this nice article at BlackBerry Cool about an application called Adorno! MultiAlarm Pro. They have a thorough review, really worth reading if you like alarm applications and think that no, the stock BlackBerry alarm application just doesn’t cut it.
Adorno! MultiAlarm Pro has many features, like recurrence, configurable sounds, snooze, vibrator and a [...]

Yatca is a Twitter client application for BlackBerry devices running OS 4.6+ or later, it delivers updates and replies directly to the BlackBerry’s inbox so you can tweet and reply in much the same way that you work with email and SMS. We mentioned it one month ago. Version 1.4.2 was released three days ago [...]

Looks like this is discover-the-BlackBerry week. Yesterday, we mentioned that PdaNet is supporting the BlackBerry after supporting many other platforms for a long, long time. Today, it’s Cellcrypt. Cellcrypt Mobile has been available for Nokia and Windows Mobile devices for a while, and now support for the BlackBerry is supposed to arrive by the end [...]

NewPCGadgets makes several products for people who are always on the move, like the Mobile Visor that we mentioned last month. Now, they just came up with another item that may interest BlackBerry aficionados: the Mobile Squeegee.
The perfect carry along mobile screen cleaner. Quickly and safely cleans your iPod Touch, iPhone, BlackBerry or other mobile [...]

We announced here, 10 days ago, that OS version 4.7.0.122 for the 9530 Storm had been leaked by Bell and we linked to a Megaupload source. If you didn’t get it then because you don’t feel comfortable with these shady, unofficial downloads, here is the official release by Bell.
Thanks for the tip, George!
Our usual warnings [...]

PhoneFace is a speed dial phone add-on that gets your friends’ profile pictures from your SD card, your Facebook profile and now from your Twitter account, too. It has been around for a while now, but the integration with Twitter is a new feature.
PhoneFace launches phone calls, email and text messages with a simple click [...]

BBFileScout is one great free application, and it’s updated so often it’s almost getting boring. And the change log is quite an example to most of the other BlackBerry applications. This time, it has better search capabilities and a few other minor improvements. Actually, version 0.6 brought the better search capabilities a few days ago. [...]

So what’s on your mind? We often don’t know what’s on our own mind, or rather we do, but there is so much going on that we fail to manage it adequately. So in this day and age people have come up with the concept of “mind maps”, idea charts that help you keep tabs [...]

I don’t know PdaNet myself, but it seems to have quite a reputation. I am pretty sure I have read good things about it. Maybe the reason I am not familiar with it is that they have been supporting pretty much every mobile platform under the sun – except the BlackBerry. Shame on them!
But those [...]

This seems to be a brand new application, available for just a few days at GetJar and updated yesterday. Getting applications from GetJar isn’t always the best experience since very few if any of their applications are made specifically for the BlackBerry, they’re usually just generic Java applets that may run well on your Berry [...]

This is a brand new launch. PocketMeeting is a dead simple web app for screen sharing, something that is also often marketed as “virtual meetings” because you can have a number of people congregate in a sort of “chat room” where everyone can view one same set of images and data on the screen, analogous [...]

In case you don’t know, Pandora is a free personalized radio service that lets you create stations based on your favorite artists, songs, and more and it will find more music you will probably like. If you are already a user, you can just sign in and it will import your current Pandora stations. Their [...]

VR+ has been one of my all-time favorite BlackBerry applications for a long time. Perhaps you have read the review I wrote one year ago. If you haven’t, I think you should. I think it’s very, very useful because it takes mobile texting communication one step further: by sending voice messages instead of text. Why [...]

This has to be the best idea I have seen in my recent memory.
The BlackBerry surely makes our lives a lot more convenient. I am all for buying some sexy lingerie or ordering some kosher food from one’s BlackBerry. But every now and then someone has to come up with something that really matters, something [...]

I don’t know if this happened recently or if it’s old news, but if this isn’t "HOT!!!" material for BerryReview, then I don’t know what is: Victoria’s Secret has a mobile site.
What that means to you will depend a lot on a number of factors:
- Are you male or female? [...]

Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag. We posted about a leaked OS 5.0 for the Bold just a few hours ago, and it’s time for the Curve 8900 already. I wonder which device will be next. Probably the Storm. Will there be one for the 8220, too? Other Pearls and Curves? [...]

We are a little late on this one. Version 3.1.0 has been available for the BlackBerry since March 31, but we just heard about it today. This version brings support to three new trap types:
mobile speed cameras/vans
combo cameras
checkpoints
In case you’ve never heard of it, Trapster is an application for drivers who think that risking people’s [...]

One of our readers was kind enough to inform us, actually all of us readers and writers, that Orange UK has put OS 4.6.1.137 4.6.1.206 for the Curve 8900 up for grabs right here. It’s therefore an official download, which is always better than a possibly shady, leaked version.
No complaints seem to have surfaced until [...]
