The BlackBerry Z30 is a premium device, well not as much as the P’9982, but it is still BlackBerry’s current flagship. If you own one of these baby’s, perhaps, it is a good idea to pamper it as well. Today, here we have the Noreve BlackBerry Z30 Leather Case.

Noreve, is a French company, specializing in high-end, premium custom made leather cases. Noreve has the good taste of the latest trends, exacting and demanding perfection. Everything is based on quality: from the point of view of the materials it uses, Noreve has a reputation for using quality leathers, quality moulds and exceptional cutting techniques.

From various modern BlackBerry modern legacy devices to the latest BlackBerry 10 models, Noreve makes cases for it. Unfortunately though, they do not have one yet for the BlackBerry Porsche series, which would have been an absolute compliment. However, they are in the midst of getting that ready, so stay tuned!

On the top flap of the cover, lies in wait the Noreve’s logo. The meaning of Noreve’s logo is as follows: the moon protects the tropézien sun, a subtle metaphor which illustrates a cover protecting your mobile device.

The interior of the casing is then lined with premium leather of your choice, with a additional design of a discrete screen print of the Noreve logo of the bell tower at Saint-Trope.

Holding it in my hand, everything about it feels just premium, solidly built to touch. As I also understand from Noreve, the case is made of thermoplastics before being wrapped by premium french leather.

Putting it into the case, the device fits in snugly, solidly gripped inside the case, which gives you the confidence that it is being well protected. The media controls, charging ports as well as earphone jack and lock buttons are all left open for easy access. In fact, Noreve has also kept the two noise-cancelling microphones at the side exposed, which is great because many cases covered this up and this was a problem especially when it came to calls. The cover covers up the speaker’s at the bottom of the device, even though there are some cut outs for it, there was some audible muffling of the sound still.

The flap, protects the screen of the device, also comes built-in power-saving magnet which BlackBerry touts in their own original covers. This will turn the screen off the moment the flap is closed. However, one more thing to take note is that the device, when equipped with the case, won’t be able to make calls like the BlackBerry Official Flip casing simply because there is no hole for the headset speaker for the call sounds to penetrate.

In addition, it comes with a hole, unlike the official BlackBerry cases which has a small plastic to let the LED glow instead. In this instance, the hole allows the LED light to blink through.

Protection wise
As a case, despite all the exposures of the device, it perform pretty well because the case is really thick. As such, the device is pretty protected from kinks and bumps.

Overall
In conclusion, this is a real premium case with pure luxury built into it. Though I would not say it would be the best for those planning to use it with a single hand, it does work well for those looking a style and protection. That said though, it is however, the more expensive cases available. Together, Noreve offers a total of 12 exterior colours, 35 interior lining colours and 12 leather finishes. If you need a belt clip, they can put one up for you as well. Prices start from €41.58, and you can head on over to Noreve’s website here to order one for yourself.

PS: The design used here is the Ebène Couture in Negre poudro. The internal lining is Rouge troupelenc. Desgin Code: 22232T20/f-INT65.
