At Milken Institute’s Global Conference, BlackBerry CEO John Chen has been hard at work. After CNBC’s interview, here in another interview with Bloomberg, he unveiled the company’s upcoming strategies further and also, that next year, revenue for BlackBerry should start growing again. In addition, he spoke about the upcoming BlackBerry Slider.
According to John Chen, the BlackBerry Slider will be shipping by the end of the year whilst the other two devices, likely the “Oslo” and “Keian”, John Chen says we may not see them this year.

When he says End of Year, I am hoping he actually means within the last years Quarter. And several weeks before Christmas. Or many people will not wait and simply move to something else.
If delayed, that would be a nail in the coffin, but lets not go there just yet. LOL

I have some family members who would love to upgrade to a new all touch BB from the Z10. The only thing mentioned so far that would fit the bill is the slider. Not perfect but would fit the bill. Hopefully not delayed further.

There are 3 goals that BlackBerry should accomplish to be a contender again: 1. Get the word out to more consumers on how great the BB10 phones are, when compared with the competetion; 2. Broaden the BlackBerry world store to include more consumer apps and exclusive BlackBerry apps and allow access to the Google Play Store; 3. Get the new high end BB10 phones – (all touch included) out as soon as possible and promote these phones.

Will have to agree. Though use Android Apps as a stop gap, a technique to try and increase BB10 market share. Then hopefully the Native BB10 DEV’s follow suit.
Nothing beats a native BB10 app running on BB10.

Absolutely, BB10 apps run better than on any OS on the market.
