If you’ve noticed that your Blackberry Passport is flickering after the 10.3.1 update you’re not alone. After a couple of days with the new OS, I noticed that my device flickers when at my settings menu or when opening some of apps, thinking my screen needed to be fixed. I did some more searching for some answers about what is going on. I came across Michael Clewley who has just tweeted an update, so don’t worry, Blackberry is addressing this with a fix soon and until then try the following:
Try to restart your Passport at least one time per day, it minimizes the flickering.
To re-post separately, we may have a fix for the Passport flickering issue and are currently testing this.

As a workaround for the Passport flickering issue we’ve seen a daily reset reduce the amount it happens.

My BlackBerry Passport has always done a small amount of stuttering, but within the past two days the flickering has gotten extreme. Also, sometimes I can’t take pictures because the buttons are obscured by a black or yellow band at the bottom of the screen. This is getting frustrating. Turning the device completely off and leaving it for a while doesn’t seem to really help; neither does resetting.
