7Digital and BlackBerry Are Launching a New Music Service

It feels like just yesterday that BlackBerry announced it was shutting down their music and video sections in BlackBerry World together with their tie in with Amazon. Now it looks like BlackBerry has even more going on behind the scenes according to the Guardian. They are following through with Chen’s plan to build on partnerships by teaming up with 7Digital yet again to launch an alternative music service for BlackBerry. This time the service will be run fully by 7Digital so they will be keeping all the profits but still its a nice deal all around.

7Digital had its stock battered when BlackBerry cancelled their previous partnership so it should be interesting to see how this one plays out. Stay tuned for more details!

  1. Why does that look like it’s being run on OS4.5?!

  2. I just used an old picture I had in stock. I just get a kick out of how long 7Digital and BlackBerry have been working together.

  3. Good idea they are doing this. Nothing beats Native. And I am sure the massive complaints had something to do with this.

  4. Yes, I am pleased to see Music and maybe Vids appear in BlackBerry World again! I miss it. Running the 7Digital Android app is not the same, neither is Amazon’s app store.
