Over 50,000 T-Mobile BlackBerry Users Upgrade Through “Loyalty Offer”

All BlackBerry 10

T-Mobile and BlackBerry have not exactly been on speaking terms this year. Their CEO came up with an upgrade “loyalty offer” to help BlackBerry users upgrade to other devices with a focus on non-BlackBerry devices. This led to BlackBerry revoking their license which essentially cuts them off from being able to sell new devices. Now we are hearing from TmoNews that T-Mobile has had over 50,000 customers take them up on the upgrade offer with no word on what they upgraded to. I really wish BlackBerry had some better messaging out there on getting these legacy customers onto BlackBerry 10…

  1. T-Mo might just be trying to stick their tonque out at BlackBerry.

    • No question.

This part of their article is completely ridiculous:
“In order to keep the momentum going and provide the best customer experience possible, the fulfillment of the offer will be changing from a bill credit to a Mail in Rebate beginning August 6.”

A mail in rebate instead of a bill credit? Sounds fantastic!

  2. BB should have sent them messages with $100 off any BB plus no charge device switch.

    • Doubt BlackBerry could cover device switch and carriers switch fees since they would have to switch to a different carrier. ETFs could be pricey.

  3. Watch the SHEEP “up”grade. Go SHEEP Go.
