BlackBerry Passport Flies Pass the FCC

The BlackBerry Passport is BlackBerry’s next generation device. If your eagerly waiting for it, the good news is, it has passed through the FCC! Of course, the internal and external photos are still under their confidentiality agreement, the label is pretty obvious for us to know that it is the Passport!

The following sums up the network bands to be supported:

Mobile phone with GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/1900, WCDMA/HSPA FDD 2, 4, 5, LTE Bands 2, 4, 5, 13, 17, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth, NFC, FM Radio and GPS.

Right now, we’ll just have to wait to see which carriers and region this will first end up in! Interesting note, the confidentiality agreement ends on Sept 12th, 2014.

  1. It looks like with WCDMA on FCC info that the Passport will run on Verizon. I already run 2 blackberries on Verizon and I want to swap one of them for the Passport. Any idea re Verizon?
