BlackBerry Marketing Exec: “The No. 1 objective is making BlackBerry synonymous with work”

When John Chen joined BlackBerry he cleaned up shop with Frank Boulben leaving as CMO of BlackBerry. Chen then went and brought in Mark Wilson as SVP of Marketing based on his previous experience with him at Sybase along with his experience at Avaya. Recently Wilson took the chance to sit down with AdAge for and interview on his plans for BlackBerry. What I found to be the strongest message was that he stated that “The No. 1 objective is making BlackBerry synonymous with work.”

  1. Making BlackBerry synonymous with work is the reason I first Bought my Berry years ago and it is “almost” there. Even though it is already very simple to make appointment on the Calendar it still requires too many steps. It is so very simple to eliminate most of the steps at least it is for me in theory but I’m hopeful.
