BBM for Windows Phone Revealed With Native UI – Apply for Beta

BlackBerry has revealed what BBM for Windows Phone will look like and I have to say I am impressed that they are taking bolds steps. BBM on Windows Phone will use the native UI of Windows Phone instead of trying to mimic the BlackBerry 10 app on the platform. This is a departure for BlackBerry to focus on using the platforms best UI experience rather than shoving BlackBerry 10 down their throat.

They have also simplified the sign up and sign in concept along with adding friends. I have to say I like how they have boiled down the app to contacts, chats, and feeds. They are going to bring stickers, BBM Voice, Channels, and Location Sharing via Glympse in the coming months.

Right now they have opened up a sign up area in the Beta Zone for users to sign up to enter the current private beta. Let us know if you join!

  1. Hi Ronen, I signed up for the beta with my friend’s Lumia. I hope it plays well with my Z30. Cheers Sherry.

    • Hi @GodinGal, Like any beta, feedback as much as possible in order to update BB on any issues for them to iron out. But still keep in mind, this is beta and even with early release versions there may still be issues that will crop up when in the populas. They have been quick in the past to update production release versions, Goodtimes for BB and BBM across all mainstream platforms.
