How Many BlackBerry 10’s Were Sold Last Quarter?

At yesterday’s AGM, a familiar question was posed. Of all the devices (2.6 million) that was sold last quarter, how many devices was BlackBerry 10? Well, here’s the answer!

The good news here is that the majority of devices sold are BlackBerry 10 devices, with 65% of the 2.6 million (1.69 million) sold being BlackBerry 10! This would also be the first time BlackBerry 10 devices outsold the legacy BlackBerry devices.

I think this is a great trend that needs to continue, what about you?

  1. If they sold 2.5M phones per quarter, Chen says they’ll have a profitable handset business. That is not too difficult a task if BlackBerry gets some good marketing folks with fresh ideas. They need to start to toot their own horn! Bringing the business back to profitability will instill confidence in the company and their products. Their future looks very bright. I’m buying in :)

  2. I like what I’m seeing so far. That would be cool if you could use the BlackBerry Passport as a real Passpor; and BBM Metings looks interesting. Bring on the commercials BlackBerry, you have a lot to brag about!

  3. Let’s hope the trend continues. And JC starts advertising a little more, too.

  4. Bye Bye MobileIron, you’ve been hacked. Aviva moves all its hacked iPhones onto BES10. Dumping MobileIron, and more should follow suit.

  5. BB should aim at 1m sales per week to win back market share.
