  1. What would really make this device a classic is a convenience key

  2. “cant wait!”

  3. They’ve done it all wrong. a true ‘classic’ would have been exactly like the Bold 9900 except running OS 10. I hate the straight keyboard. I want the curved keyboard from the Bold. It’s a disappointment. The Bold remains state of the art aesthetics with a retrograde OS. All they need to do is upgrade the hardware specs and plug in OS10. If I wanted a Q10, I would have bought one already.

    • what fone u using now?

      • Both Z10 and iPhone. Why?

        • Kevin – So why are you hooked on the 9900? I am running a 9900 and have been for over 2 years, don’t get me wrong its a great device, however it is getting old and I personally thinks the new Classic is the perfect blend of old and new. I have had the opportunity to use a Q10, and absolutely loved the K board, and of course BB10 is miles and years ahead of BB7, with the Q10’s larger screen it felt and worked very nicely. Now, my challenge is can I hold off until the classic is released or will I bend before and buy a Q10????

          • 9900 has a nice curved keyboard. It just flows so fast with the typing and trackpad. The new classic adds the trackpad, which will immediately feel better. But I’ve tried the 9720, and while it feel 80% better than the Q10, it is still missing that curved keyboard. The typing flow just isn’t the same. You describe the classic as “the perfect blend of old and new,” but if that’s the idea, then maybe it shouldn’t be called “classic”? A Classic would be something that totally looks like the ultimate Classic device. For me that would be the Bold 9900. Put a square screen on it and amp up the specs to run BB10. That’s it. That’s all they have to do. dream device.

  4. im just curious, i have a 9720 and a samsung galaxy light

  5. anyone wanna estimate how much the classic will be? 400?

  6. im still rocking a torch 9810 ftw. Ive had a z10 and a Q10 just ended up giving them to my parents.

  7. The first time I saw Q30 I had same reaction like others-what an odd product. But the more I think about the more I like it. It’s so unique. But can be a great daily driver that eliminate the need for a cell phone AND tablet. I am not sold on square edges. It looks great as design, but there is a reason why so many cell phones have rounded edge. Hard to decide which one to pick between this and Classic, but never the less excited like everybody else. Finally, the company is listening and deliver what core customers really want. Great job Blackberry. This tells me that as I did in the last 10 years, my next phone will continue to be A BlackBerry.

  8. I just discovered the Sony Xperia z Ultra today. I’m in love. Blackberry needs a phablet. anything between 5.5 and 6.0 inches.
