Quite a few BlackBerry QWERTY fans, including me, are eagerly awaiting the possible release of the BlackBerry Windermere. This QWERTY flagship device is packing some interesting innovations like a new touch sensitive physical keyboard that also accepts gestures. My buddy Bla1ze got a relatively new tip that details some newly revealed specs for the device that may give us some more details on why this is the device to buy next.

Features include:

  • 4.5-Inch 1440×1440 Full HD LCD 453 DPI Display – A Beautiful large display for the largest BlackBerry experience to date.
  • A Revolutionary Keyboard – The fast, accurate typing experience you crave with the convenience of all your favorite all-touch gestures at your fingertips.
  • Designed to keep up with you all day – A powerful and efficient battery designed for a full day use. A slim 3450 mAh battery.
  • A better BlackBerry 10 camera and photo taking experience – 13MP OIS rear camera designed to capture the best photo every time.

The tipster also confirmed that the device is supposedly super light and built on a stainless steel frame while still being thinner than the BlackBerry Z30. That along with a rumored quad core processor should make this device a computing beast!

  1. As a Z10 owner that battery looks pretty sweet.

  2. Well, Chen is appealing to qwerty users – BlackBerry is innovating and pressing forward! This will be a fantastic device, but will it get folks to dump their virtual keyboards on Android and iOS and return to the BlackBerry fold? We shall see. I sure hope so, alhough I do love my Z10′s virtual keyboard!

    • Actually John Chen is not appealing to the QWERTY users. He’s catering to both. But realizes that physical keyboard devices are still a strong must, and one of the differentiating factors between BlackBerry and the competition.
They are just about to release the Z3, full touch device. John Chen knows a physical keyboard device wouldn’t work in that type of market. In order to gain NEW Customers, BlackBerry NOW understands Full Touch Devices are a Must.
The Rumoured device that John Chen spoke about in more than one interview is said to be the device to WIN Over New Customers. According to a strong rumour, this device is said to be the Z50 full touch. But not just an ordinary full touch device, its suppose to be the BEST Spec’ed device to date when released. A release date John Chen himself confirmed. His Quote: “””We are hoping for a Sept 2014 release, but I cannot guarantee that date at this time”””. Then we get a reliable source stating the same date Sept 2014.

  3. Chen does know that most BB10 users are rocking Z10s and Z30s, right? Please don’t forget about us! BlackBerry should offer premium devices to both groups.

  4. I thought this phone was getting the octa core!! Guess not.
