BlackBerry Z3 Shown Side By Side With BlackBerry Z10 And Z30!

With BlackBerry Z3 launching soon, here’s the latest leak of the actual device. Sure we have seen the press device, but here, we have the device showcased next to the higher-end counterparts. Designed as a budget device for the BlackBerry 10 platform, it is expected to cost less than us$200 for the non-LTE device wehn it launches, with a LTE variant coming out later. The guys over at OurBerries let me know that gengbbm managed to score a picture of this, so now we have a better idea of the device!

With lower end specifications, the device will be truely low end, but will you buy it?

  1. Hopefully they can offer the Z3 for well under $200. Perhaps $139 or so. This needs to sell.

  2. I think BlacKBerry with their decisions, (for now at least) has decided not to top tier build phones that compete with Android, iphone in specs, severing ties with T-mobile and their refusal to market their own phones has put themselves in a make or break situation, where the Z3 and Q20 must do well in order to stay relevant. I hope BlackBerry has something up their sleaves.

  3. The Foxconn deal is only for low end devices. BlackBerry is still in charge of its high end device designs. The key here is if and when the Z3 makes headway and claws back market share. John Chen will further release the Z3 into India & Thailand. Then a few more to follow such as South Africa & Venezuela.
John Chen also mentioned if and when this Z3 sells well, new 4G models will be launched in N. America and in Europe, at a later time to compete for the Sub $200 phone market.

It’s all about strategy, and patients. This guy knows his stuff. And by not having any attachment to BBRY, he’s can execute easier and eventually make the company profitable once again.

  4. Z30 is a much nicer phone.
