BlackBerry gave us a taste of how BBM is doing in their conference call today. Specifically they gave us their number of users actively using the service every month. Currently they have 85 million monthly active users and 113 million registered users. On top of that they have almost tripled the number of BBM Channels to 500,000. BlackBerry confirmed that they are seeing a strong growth pattern in multi platform users driving registrations. On top of that they confirmed that channel uses read about 11.5 posts a day which they call engaging.
BlackBerry is planning on monetizing all of these solutions so they really just need to start hitting the gas building momentum and advertising.
