Jason let us know that BlackBerry has a great sale going on for some top movies in BlackBerry World. The list includes some of the top movies like American Hustle and 12 years a slave. The sale is for a limited time so make sure to jump on it soon. I just down 12 Years a Slave since I did not get a chance to watch it in theaters.

Check out the full list of $0.99 movies here in BlackBerry World. I can confirm it is available for the US but let us know about international availability.

  1. Doesn’t look like it’s available in Canada. :(

  2. Just got screwed over by BlackBerry World AGAIN!! Downloading audio and video from them is hit or miss! Purchased “American Hustle” but the download keeps failing immediately, but I was still charged for it!!! And I bet they won’t respond to my requests for a refund, just like last time!

  3. I bought about 10 movies a few months back the last time they did this $0.99/movie sale. I didn’t download them but left them on my BB World account (so it doesn’t take up my hard drive space). I noticed that one (maybe two) movies has since disappeared (one was “Skyfall”). Since I had purchased the movies, why don’t they all remain in my BB World Video account?

    • Just go and click to buy, should tell you that you’ve already purchased and won’t be charged. Then you just download.

  4. Yeah, confirming what Derrick wrote above, watch out. I just bought about four movies, but it won’t let me download three of them (American Hustle, Moneyball, True Grit) because the “License has expired. You will need to purchase this content again.” But BB World charged me.

There are only about ~10 movies in this new BB World $0.99 sale, and they don’t check to see if customers can actually download and watch these movies? I don’t get it.

    • Yeah, after about 30 tries, I was finally able to finish downloading “American Hustle.” However, even after the download completed, it still said it wasn’t able to “install” it. WTH?? I checked, and the movie is indeed in my videos folder. Haven’t tried to play it yet, though.

  5. Btw, Ronen, I don’t mean you. I mean the person(s) at BB who just put up this sale and didn’t bother to check! I enjoy your site, btw. Thanks.
