BlackBerry Sales Doubled in UAE After Price Cuts

BlackBerry Ad

It seems like John Chen’s recent price cuts for devices is going over well around the world. The National is reporting that BlackBerry is seeing a doubling of sales in the UAE in February compared to January. This is coming from retailer Jacky’s Electronics COO who said that price cuts are starting to move devices. Supposedly BlackBerry no longer has the advantage of cheaper data plans so they are competing head to head with Android and iOS.

Here is to hoping this is the ship turning around…

  1. The problem is we heard that before, Canada, UK, India and a lot of countries. It’s only when they report their financial results is what really counts.

  2. Definitely good news. And hope they are BB10 devices.
We need to see more price cuts to help push as many BB10 devices as possible.

I am hoping they drop all device prices in North America. Come up with a promotion such as return your old device for a $250 off a brand new purchase of a BB10 device.
