BlackBerry’s CEO headed to the White House recently to talk to President Barack Obama and other staff about where he is taking BlackBerry. He told Bloomberg that “As part of my meeting customers I have briefed the White House from an IT perspective.” He said it was “just customer outreach — and they were nice enough to share some of their thoughts with me.” He did not go into detail but he said that it was about “some of the stuff they like and some of the stuff they would like us to work on.”
This makes me curious to know if Obama is a trackpad fan and is waiting for the Q20. The White House spokesman said that “for a variety of reasons, including some security related, we don’t talk about Obama’s phone publicly.” Talk about some intrigue. This is all part of Chen traveling the world to see 100 customers. Hopefully he managed to convince Obama because he is BlackBerry’s best free promotion.
