How To Add, Remove, & Modify Your Quick Settings on BlackBerry 10.2.1

One of the coolest new features in the newly minted BlackBerry OS 10.2.1 is the ability to FINALLY modify your Quick Setting options in the pull down menu. This is pretty awesome and lets you add things like brightness, flashlight, bedside mode, and more to the pull down. Its still a bit short of a list from what I want but its a HUGE step forward! To edit your Quick Settings in OS 10.2.1 you just need to

  1. pull down the current Quick Settings menu from the homescreen
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Quick Settings
  4. Put a checkbox by the items you want in your menu
  5. You can also select the option on the bottom of the page to rearrange the items

  1. Nice! Quick Setting just got better. I’ve been waiting for a faster way to access bedside mode. I was hitting the lock button twice then pulling down before, which is kinda satisfying due to the “pulling the blind down” effect. We’ll see which I like better.

You’ll be happy to hear that I deleted my last flashlight app Ronen. Quick Settings make it too easy.
