New Foxconn BlackBerry Smartphone Certified With OS 10.2 – Is it the “Jakarta”?

bluetooth sig

We heard from Foxconn chairman earlier in the week that they were going to showcase some BlackBerrys at Mobile World Congress next month. Now it looks like we may have more confirmation. PhoneArena noticed that the Bluetooth SIG has certified the STJ100-1 which runs BlackBerry OS 10.2. The real kicker is that the manufacturer is FIH CO LTD (Foxconn International Holdings) instead of BlackBerry. There is nothing else hinted about in the certification but the device was also certified in Indonesia so that probably means its the low cost Jakarta device.

Check out the Bluetooth SIG certification and Postel cert.

  1. Judging by STJ nomenclature.. if STL is London, STJ should stand for Jakarta
