Typo Keyboard Co-Founder Shows Off Knock-off BlackBerry Keyboard at CES (Video)

We have heard quite a bit about this lawsuit BlackBerry filed against copy cat keyboard maker Typo. At CES the co-founder of Typo has been showing off the device and discussing the lawsuit in frank terms. ShvartzBerry pointed out to me a video on CNN money where the reporter straight out asks them about the lawsuit and its interesting to see their response. He even says “it feels like my BlackBerry.” Either way I think BlackBerry should just create their own iPhone keyboard. Would possibly be another way to take back part of the mindshare on other platforms.

  1. Can’t see on my BB. Please upload to Youtube.

  2. I like that the co-founder showed it off, because the founder is suing him now, aka BlackBerry.

  3. What gets me is there claim that this BBRY qwerty rip-off was years in development. What I think they meant was they were trying to figure out a way to design an identical Q10 keyboard but not be sued for it. Like making very minor changes.

  4. Even if Typo really was years in development, which I find hard to believe, the Q10 was still release many months before their product.
