BlackBerry’s Focus for Next 18 Months Will Be on Enterprise According to John Chen

BlackBerry 10 Devices

There was another juicy little tidbit (via CNET) we just heard about from the CES press event BlackBerry’s CEO, John Chen, hosted today. He confirmed that the focus for BlackBerry for the next 18 months will be on Enterprise. He went on to say that “we are not retreating from the customer business” but obviously their focus is elsewhere. That focus on enterprise is another reason BlackBerry is going to predominantly be making keyboard devices that enterprises prefer.

In short maybe there is some hope for some prosumer love!

  1. That means to me that the next highend phone berry drops will be a keyboard. Which doesnt make sense seeing that the q10 is only a small piece of the pie.

  2. The consumers must be included for BlackBerry to be successful and good marketing plan.

  3. I agree dpr! The consumer can’t be forgotten! I have a Z30 and love it! Touchscreens are the way to go! They can’t forget about them!

  4. In no way did Mr. Chen say he won’t release a full touch screen phone. There focus maybe on physical keyboard BB10’s but expect future Full touch phones to come out such as the rumoured Z50.
