OS 10.2.1.1733 Gets Certified by PTCRB for the BlackBerry Z30 (STA100-5)

Welcome to PTCRB-000649

This is in no way a leak but it is telling information. PTCRB is a certification forum for North American cellular companies to test cellphones. JJ pointed out a thread on CrackBerry forums by Flyinbryan1979 who spotted OS 10.2.1.1733 listed as certified on the PTCRB website. This means that the OS is floating around by testers and carriers. Its odd that it has not leaked in some form yet but it could be John Chen has managed to lock down the leaks.

  1. Time to fire Sachesi up rofl…

  2. C’mon you know the last 10.2.1 leak was wayyy too generous and inviting. Carriers were probably pissed, and BB needs to play their cards closer to their chests in this highly competitive market. They had to crack down.

    • If it weren’t for the leaks and the how to install google maps and the essential applications I would have left BlackBerry for sure, no support from BlackBerry or others on their platform spells disaster.
If it weren’t for the leaked 10.2.1.1055 we wouldn’t have snap and other android applications installed and tested.
By The Way, AT&T is still on 10.1 which is not the best OS out there and being able to install 10.2.0.1803 is a life saver…
Leaks is what kept BlackBerry alive in its darkest days (moving to BlackBerry 10 was a very tough decision)

Did I mention that the CB forums is where I was able to make google applications work with sign in (google maps) on Q10SQN100-1/10.2.0.1803? I know it was mentioned for the 10.2.1.1055 and I’m talking about google maps 7.0.2 not ver 6.

There is still one promise I haven’t seen yet was the long awaited update to BlackBerry Maps…

  3. Not sure if it was all him, the leaks stopped just B4 he arrived.
I think it may have to do with all the ungrateful politics around the leaks. The Berry Leaks team were doing a great job giving us leaks but people complained that they didn’t do more & accused them of holding out ect. If your going to be attacked & insulted for helping people, why would you want to help them?

    • I still can’t believe they made an official unofficial wiki for leaks which are not meant to be in the hands of the novice or anyone who doesn’t work for BlackBerry.
If they had stayed down and low and not leaked an OS or 2 per day, we might have had more today.
Why they made it official I have no idea…the internet is full of trolls and misunderstandings and miscommunication when words are thrown out not face to face in person.
So, when are we getting 10.2.1.1733?? Lol

  4. Yeah it is a shame. BlackBerry really needs to push this out
