BlackBerry has pushed out an update for their and Dropbox apps for BlackBerry 10. These apps have both received a small version bump but they also have a vague change log. They simply promise to bring performance and stability improvements whatever that means. Maybe my Z30 will now be twice as fast?

  1. Nice. Thank you so much for the heads up. D/L’ing now. I use the heck out of these.

  2. Have they introduced COPY LINK yet?! Omg I tried to send a video again yesterday to my father no can do, BBM to big, Dropbox cant use link feature, email takes forever(not a p2p), Lets keep hoping I guess…

  3. I believe the main purpose of the upgrade is likely an API change, at least on the Box side. I recently received notification from CloudMagic that they are discontinuing Box support because they don’t have the resources to adapt to their new API. And a cloud-connected Epson printer with Box support just told me it needs to log in again. So I’m guessing that’s a big component of this upgrade. Although, if it were that critical, you’d think they would be more forceful about the upgrade.

  4. I just decided to give up on Box. I got a new computer went to the Box website to install Desktop Sync. I had a very hard time finding the download and then when I did install it, they removed the feature to choose your sync location. They provided a work-around, but I decided the hell with it. How many ways does a person need to sync files? I will just stick with Link, when I walk into the house, my files sync with Link over WiFi.

I don’t want my photos on Box anyhow, I would rather have them on Flickr with their 1TB of data and with SkyDrive now perfectly integrated with Windows 8.1, it is a better option for me than either Box or DropBox.

I love my BB10 though, so many options.

  5. I love dropbox better than anything in the world 🙂
