BlackBerry OS Finally Adds Japanese Keyboard Support

IMG_00000421 IMG_00000422

BlackBerry made a decision awhile back to not support Japanese input on BlackBerry 10 and thus they have not launched any new devices in Japan. You could still read Japanese emails but that is about it. Now James pointed out to me that the latest OS leak includes Japanese input! I wonder if this means BlackBerry 10 might come to Japan and if we may see Line messenger in the future…

Either way if you want Japanese input on your BlackBerry I am happy to report that it is coming in BlackBerry 10. Let me know if any other languages you want are missing.

  1. I was reading recently that they also added Hindi to 10.2.1. Currently, they only have Hinglish.

  2. Is this Hindi?

  3. Here is another shot

  4. Yes, it is. I don’t speak Hindi but it’s one of the top 10 languages of the world.

  5. I do and it is hindi. I haven’t loaded the leak but the screenshots do not show the full alphabet or all the modifiers. I hope it is not a shoddy / half assed implementation as it was on BBOS.

  6. Awesome news!

  7. For those who have not yet tried . . . Sincerely,
