Great Sample Of BlackBerry "Natural Sound" Technology in Action

Natural Sound

I have been working on a post comparing the BlackBerry “Natural Sound” found in BlackBerry OS 10.2 and regular phone calls. It is not an easy task to describe the difference and I even asked BlackBerry for some audio clips that they used to demo the technology. Tom pointed out to me that BlackBerry has posted up a video on YouTube with a great sample of what difference the technology brings to BBM calls and hopefully phone calls soon. This is some slick technology that comes to BlackBerry via their acquisition of QNX and would be awesome if they licensed out to all phone makers.

I first experienced “Natural Sound” in the QNX demo Bentley and Corvette and I have to say it is impressive. Now you can hear the difference at home… or just use your BlackBerry 10 phone for a BBM call!

  1. That was a great video, but it felt a bit long. Here’s a shorter version, much more fit for a quick ad.

  2. Quite impressive

  3. Wow! What a marked difference; something that’s actually more substance than hype.

  4. Night versus Day 🙂 Wow!

  5. Ronen, thanks for pushing BB to create those samples. This is what they should be selling on TV! Lots of work went into creating Natural Sound, why aren’t they spreading the good news?
