BlackBerry Teams Up With Sencha To Offer Developer Webinars

Sencha BlackBerry

BlackBerry is enhancing their connection with Secha through a three part developer webinar series. The goal is to get users to develop with Sencha and release in BlackBerry World. They had a nice offer with Sencha for free licenses before and the webcast is a good tie in. The goal is to:

  • Gain insight into the BlackBerry 10 development process
  • Learn how to use Sencha Touch to create mobile BlackBerry 10 apps
  • Test your apps on a simulator and/or device
  • Get your app approved for sale in BlackBerry World

The webcasts will have experts from Sencha and BlackBerry online. The dates are officially set for:

  1. Introduction to BlackBerry WebWorks and how to package your Sencha app and deploy to the BlackBerry 10 platform
    Date: November 12, 2013 from 10 – 11 EDT
  2. How to achieve the BlackBerry 10 native look and feel using Sencha Touch 2.3
    Date: November 19, 2013 from 10 – 11 EDT
  3. How to publish your application in the BlackBerry World including monetization and Q&A
    Date: November 26 from 10 – 11 am EDT

  1. I’m a bit confused as to how these seminars will help people participating in the Sencha offer programme since the app has to be published by the 16th and it takes at least a week for an app to be approved.

  2. Good news! BlackBerry will work with devs following the seminars so that they can get their rewards by completing their apps 🙂
