3rd Party BlackBerry 10 Instagram Clients BlackGram Released Again and iGrann Starts Public Beta

BlackGram back in BBWorld

Sorry for the delay on this one guys but it has been a crazy weekend leading up to today’s news. We told you earlier about two upcoming 3rd party Instagram clients for BlackBerry 10 and they are almost here. BlackGram actually released their Instagram client in BlackBerry World with some awesome features but their servers got slammed with requests. They took their app off BlackBerry World but now it is back. You can pick up BlackGram now for $2.99 in BlackBerry World.

Features include:

  • Account creation
  • Profile picture change
  • Full browsing: followers, following, liked.
  • Search users and tags
  • Like, unlike, comment, follow and unfollow
  • Select a picture from your albums or take a photo with the camera
  • Edit the image with the integrated editor and native filters
  • Original Instagram filters (server-side)

Alicia over at CrackBerry noticed that the second Instagram client for BlackBerry 10, iGrann, has also made its way out of hiding. It has been submitted to BlackBerry World for approval but until then they have made a public beta available for anyone who wants to sideload the BAR file here and discuss it in this forum thread. This is a pretty limited app for now but so far you will be able to:

  • Register an account
  • Browse your feed
  • Browse Photos & Videos
  • Upload Photos
  • Apply native filters to photos
  • Apply native frames to photos
  • Like and Unlike Photos & Videos
  • Comment Photos & Videos
  • Explore Popular Photos & Videos
  • Browse Profiles
  • Follow and Unfollow Users
  • Search Users
  • Search Hashtags
  • View News
  • ReGrann Photos
  • Share Photos
  • And much much more…

What you can not currently do with iGrann, but will be implemented in a future release:

  • Upload Videos
  • Receive notifications

  1. While everyone is obsessed over Instagram I’d much rather see EyeEm come to BlackBerry 10. I used EyeEm all the time back when I had an iPhone and it’s the only app I miss since upgrading to BB10. EyeEm is great, it sits in the middle ground, between the casual Instagram and more serious professional photographers.

  2. I love my mum
