Potential BBM users in sub-Saharan Africa noticed that they were excluded from the global launch this week. Turns out that Samsung has an exclusive in their app store for BBM with it missing in Google Play and Amazon’s app store along with iPhone users not seeing it in their App Store. BlackBerry gave them a “three-day time-to-market advantage” and explained why to ITWeb Africa stating that:
“Samsung Africa has been a very proactive partner and has invested significantly in promoting BBM to its customers in Africa.”
