TELUS Drops Z30 & Z10 No-Contract Prices – Rogers Updates My Account App

 Z30 no contract

Canadian carriers are moving quickly on the new price changes for the BlackBerry 10 line. Now that the Z10 is targeting an entry level audience we have TELUS dropping the price to $450 without a contract (via MobileSyrup). TELUS has also dropped the no contract price for the brand new Z30 to $600 instead of $650. Odd to be done so soon.

In other news Rogers has updated their My Account app for both legacy and BB10 BlackBerrys to add their new First Rewards Program. This allows customers to browse the latest offers and check point balances. Check it out here in BlackBerry World.

  1. Sweet! By January of next year it should be around $300 like the Z10 then i’ll cop one.

    • It’s silly to think the company can afford these write-offs in the future. New management should fix that. The trouble is their starting prices were higher than they should be considering the average consumer doesn’t know about BB10 or the new products.

The Q5 should have sold for $299 to start off with but they aimed too high. I really think the marketing folks do not understand the tech industry or the tech consumer! Every product launch this year has been fumbled, including Cross platform BBM! Nothing has changed since the PlayBook’s false start. Why is the Z30 already being discounted after a week or two? Where are the Z30 ads?
