First BlackBerry Z30 Reviews Start Trickling In

Z30 review

BlackBerry hasn’t graced me with a BlackBerry Z30 but until then users have been asking us what we think of the device. Terrence gave you a good taste of it from BlackBerry Jam in Asia but now we are starting to see some reviews trickle in. Nothing impressive so far except for this latest review from Pocket-Lint that does a good job of taking the device through its paces. Their conclusion was really what hit home:

The BlackBerry Z30 is the best Blackberry 10 model so far, bringing the benefits of a large display, plenty of power, a much improved design compared to the Z10, and solid battery life that has seen us through the day …the BlackBerry Z30 feels like the device where BlackBerry finally got it right. But there’s one critical question: are people still interested?

Other reviews are nowhere near as thorough but you can check them out on Gizmodo AU, TechRadar, ExpertReviews, V3 UK, The Inquirer, ITProUK, and CNET. Let me know if you spot more!

  1. This is what the Z10 should have been a long time ago before people started stabbing BlackBerry for their weak production line…

  2. They know that you guys aren’t going to give the device a fair chance. They have learned there lesson that most of you guys have been paid to bad mouth them by the competition. I don’t think I would send you anything either. Waist of time and money.

  3. Oh yeah, $700 for Z30, as it was posted, in Canada? That’s just another insane decision by BB. Instead of selling 1 million at say $400, they think they can make more money by marking it up so high. BB needs numbers in users, not in revenue (which they won’t get at this price point). The days of business users paying for whatever blackberry charged are over (I remember paying $300 for my 8300 on 2 year contract, I was excited beyond explanation at the time to get such an upgrade) they need to focus on getting more users on board. Look at Lumia, WM user base spiked when Lumia 500 series were released and sold at around $100 unlocked, and considering Z30 is just a slightly larger Z10, and Z10 at $300-$350 now, $700 for Z30 is just insane.
