BlackBerry Sending Out Invites to International Launch Events

Mark your calendars

BlackBerry has been building up some mystery by sending out event invites around the world. First they were mentioned for Malaysia on September 18th and now France and then India too. The first poster said they heard hints that it was all about the BlackBerry Z30 but it could just as easily be about the BlackBerry Messenger Cross Platform launch. It would be odd for them to do that one internationally first but who knows what BlackBerry has planned.

What do you think the events are for?

  1. Z30 and BBM launch

  2. This must be the BBM launch, but I’d like it to be the Z30 launch as well :) Good call, you guys!

  3. Z30

invite has the shape of a Z30
    and
video chat with bigger screen = make every conversation feel like you are there

  4. BBM, Z30, and 10.2, with updated desktop software, plus a partnership from some media form, a sporting company, some new apps, and something else.

    • Okay, 10.2 I need because I despise 10.1.0.4181 (MR release). Why when I hit space twice to create a new paragraph does the cursor jump to the end of the next paragraph?
I’ve also had my phone power off twice on me with the MR release — never before!
And if that wasn’t bad enough, I’ve completely lost several emails when it just crashes and returns to the hub. This must be the worst release of Z10 software ever. I’m sure some ancient bugs were allowed to work their way back into the main tree because these bugs weren’t in 10.1.0.273.

  5. Welcome to the world of global social networking!
On Sep 18th I’ll get all my iPhone and Android friends on BBM. Forget iMessage folks, BBM will be global!
I’m sure they’ll be targeting Windows Phone soon after.

  6. Z30, due to the picture of the phone within the invitation.
    10.2 Update explaining new features.
    BBM Cross-Platform
    And a possible 10″ PlayBook 2 tablet.

    Wait and see, ……
